Desa Kitsuné sunset: plan the light, then the garden
Desa Kitsuné is a garden village in Canggu, not a sea-view club. How to watch the sunset on the beach nearby, then move on to dinner at Ina Ré and the Tuesday or Friday garden party.

Desa Kitsuné is not a place to watch the sun go down over the sea. It is a lifestyle village set in a garden in the heart of Canggu, and its parties happen in that garden, every Tuesday and Friday, rain or shine. The way to combine the two is to watch the sunset on the beach first, then come to Desa Kitsuné for dinner at Ina Ré and the party. FirstBali plans and books the whole evening through the concierge.

What Desa Kitsuné is, and what it is not
Desa means village in Indonesian. The Savaya Group created Desa Kitsuné with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné in a garden of 5,000 m²: Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant, a Maison Kitsuné boutique and the Garden share the grounds. The Garden holds bars, cabanas, bungalows, daybeds, terrace tables and sofas by the DJ, and a pool that is decorative only — it is not for swimming.
That is the appeal: a party with trees overhead rather than an ocean in front. If the horizon at sunset is the reason for your evening, the Savaya Group has two venues built around it, covered below; if it is one part of the evening, Canggu makes it easy to have both.
Sunset on the beach, then the village
Canggu runs along the southwest coast, and its beaches face the sea where the sun goes down. Two beach clubs in our catalogue sit on Berawa Beach:
- Atlas Beach Club, whose beanbags sit right on the sand facing the sea, beside a large pool.
- FINNS Beach Club, along the beachfront at Berawa under its bamboo structure, adults-only.
Atlas Beach Club
Beach clubs · Berawa
Atlas Beach Club sits on Berawa Beach and bills itself as the biggest beach club in the world. Its signature beanbags sit right on the sand facing the sea, beside a vast pool and a pool bar where DJs play through the day. Daybeds and sofas are spread across distinct zones, from The Deck restaurant overlooking the beach to the Party Side in front of the stage. Daily shows draw on the four elements, and a beachfront padel court and a 100-metre flying fox complete the site.
Finns Beach Club
Beach clubs · Berawa
FINNS Beach Club stretches along the beachfront at Berawa, in Canggu, under a bamboo structure designed by PBM Architecture. It is adults-only and divided into several party zones, from FINNS Beach Party and FINNS Garden Party to FINNS Grey Goose Party and FINNS VIP Party, with pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, dance floors and restaurants spread across the site. Resident DJs and live singers keep an all-day party going every day, and the club also hosts private events, birthdays and corporate groups.
Watch the light from one of them, or simply from the sand, then move inland to the village. The whole move is one short car ride; a driver who waits means nobody has to think about it. Canggu beach clubs compares the coast, and sunset spots in Bali the island.
After the light: dinner at Ina Ré
Ina Ré, the village's restaurant, serves dinner every day. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats. On Tuesday and Friday event days, according to its own FAQ, Ina Ré admits only guests aged 18 and over.
Ina Ré
Restaurants · Canggu
Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.
Desa Kitsuné
Clubs · Canggu
Desa Kitsuné is a lifestyle village in the heart of Canggu — desa means village — set in a 5,000 m² garden by the Savaya Group with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné. Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique share the grounds, and every Tuesday and Friday the Garden becomes the party, rain or shine: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. Parties are 21+, smart casual.
Book the dinner as its own reservation. A table at Ina Ré is a restaurant booking; it does not put you on the party's guestlist. Dinner and party at Desa Kitsuné walks through that evening in detail.
Then the garden
To get into the garden on a party night you need one of three things:
- Your own guestlist registration, made individually for that night on its page. Joining is free and a digital ticket arrives by email. Entry is complimentary before the night's cutoff, which comes earlier for men than for women, and reduced after it.
- A ticket, on nights that are ticketed only; there is no list on those.
- A garden table, the only reserved space, with a minimum spend set by the venue for that night. It is yours once the venue confirms it.
The cutoff is the part a sunset plan can trip on. A long golden hour on the beach, then a slow dinner, and the men in the group may reach the door after their cutoff. Read the night's page first and build the evening backwards from it. The full rules are in the Desa Kitsuné guestlist guide.
Tuesday or Friday
Tuesdays bring guest DJs, Fridays Bali-based DJs. Both parties go ahead rain or shine, which matters for a sunset plan: in the wet season the sky may not cooperate, but the garden still runs. Desa Kitsuné, rain or shine covers what to bring, and Tuesday or Friday the difference between the nights.
If the sunset itself is the point
Two other Savaya Group venues are built around the sunset over the sea:
- Zumana, on the beachfront at Sunset Bay in Kuta, with Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays: see the Zumana sunset.
- Savaya, on the Uluwatu clifftop, with Last Light every Monday, framed by The Cube.

The door
Desa Kitsuné parties are 21+, with a current, valid passport or driver's licence. The dress code is smart casual; flip-flops, sportswear and swimwear are refused, so a beach outfit for the sunset needs a change before the garden — see the Desa Kitsuné dress code. Mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred, and registration does not guarantee complimentary entry.
Where FirstBali fits
Tell the concierge the date, the size of your group and how you would like the evening to run. FirstBali checks what can be arranged at the beach, books the dinner at Ina Ré and a garden table with the venue on your behalf, sends the guestlist link for the night, and adds a car with a driver. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.
