What to bring to Desa Kitsuné: ID, ticket and outfit

For a Desa Kitsuné garden party, bring a valid passport or driver's licence, your digital ticket or guestlist email, a charged phone and an outfit that passes the venue's dress code.

For a party at Desa Kitsuné, bring three things before anything else: a current, valid photo ID (a passport or a driver's licence), the digital ticket or guestlist email for that night, and an outfit the door will accept. The parties are for guests aged 21 and over, they take place in the open-air Garden every Tuesday and Friday "rain or shine", and the rest of your packing follows from those facts.

The short list

  • Photo ID: passport or driver's licence, current and valid.
  • Your entry: the digital ticket the venue emails after guestlist registration, or the ticket you bought for the night.
  • A charged phone, since your entry lives on it.
  • An outfit inside the dress code (below).
  • A light layer you would be happy to be seen in, because the party carries on in the rain.

That is enough. Everything else is optional.

ID: the item that decides the night

The venue's FAQ answers the question directly: yes, you need ID to enter, and "a current, valid photo ID such as a valid Passport or valid Driver's license" is acceptable. The parties are 21+, and the door checks. A photo of your passport on your phone is not the document itself; bring the real one. If you are travelling with a group, check that everyone has theirs before you leave the villa: one forgotten passport can split the night.

Your entry: list or ticket

Desa Kitsuné runs its own guestlist. You register individually for each night on that night's page, reached from the Guestlist button on our events page, and receive a digital ticket by email. Joining is free; entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on the night's page and reduced after it, and the cutoff comes earlier for men. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry: management decides at the door.

Some nights are ticketed instead. The FAQ says general admission tickets are sold on the venue's event page, are "only for admission", do not include food or beverage credit, and are "for standing room only". It also recommends buying online before the day rather than at the door. Whichever applies, have the email open before you reach the entrance.

What to wear

The FAQ asks guests to "dress to impress appropriately for the occasion" and names what is prohibited: swimwear, sportswear, flip-flops and tank tops. The venue's party terms go further and refuse chains, baggy clothing, hard-sole shoes, boots, torn or cut-off clothing and beer-branded singlets. Shoes are the item to settle first, since flip-flops, boots and hard soles are all on the lists. The full breakdown is in the Desa Kitsuné dress code guide.

For the weather

The Garden is outdoors and the venue's line is that the parties happen "rain or shine". Shoes that cope with a damp lawn and a light layer make more sense than an umbrella. Our separate guide on Desa Kitsuné in the rain explains what the venue's terms say when the weather is bad enough to cancel.

Leave it at the villa

  • Swimwear and gym kit: both refused, and this is a garden party, not a beach club.
  • Outside food and drink: the village has its own café, restaurant and bars.
  • Anything you would hate to lose: a dance floor in a garden at night is not the place for valuables you do not need.
  • Big bags: the venue publishes no luggage or locker service for the parties, so plan as if there is none and travel light.

Dinner first?

The village holds Ina Ré, a restaurant with a Mediterranean and South American menu, on the same grounds as the Garden. Booking dinner there before the party means one address for the whole evening; see dinner and party at Desa Kitsuné.

Getting there and back

Desa Kitsuné is in Canggu. A driver who drops you off and comes back for you avoids parking and keeps the return simple; FirstBali arranges private drivers, and the details are in getting to Desa Kitsuné.

Questions we get asked

+Do I need ID for Desa Kitsuné?

Yes. The venue accepts a current, valid photo ID such as a passport or driver's licence, and the parties are 21+.

+Does a general admission ticket include drinks?

No. The venue's FAQ says the individual ticket is only for admission, includes no food or beverage credit, and is for standing room only.

+Can I wear flip-flops to Desa Kitsuné?

No. Flip-flops are prohibited, as are swimwear, sportswear and tank tops, and the party terms also refuse boots and hard-sole shoes.

A light layer and shoes that cope with damp grass are more practical. The Garden parties run rain or shine.

+Can FirstBali book a table for me?

Yes, through the concierge. The table is yours once the venue confirms it; a deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation.
