Savaya for couples: planning a night for two

Savaya works well for a couple: the venue says couples and mixed groups are strongly preferred, the sunset from the cliff is the moment, and a table gives you your own space. How to plan it.

Yes, Savaya is a good night out for a couple. The venue's own terms say that mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred, the sunset over the Indian Ocean from the Uluwatu cliff is the moment the place was built for, and a table gives the two of you a space of your own. A couple is still checked like everyone else, though: 21+ with photo ID, smart casual, and the door has the last word.

The calendar above lists Savaya's coming nights. Each shows whether it has a guestlist or is ticketed only, and carries a Table button. For a couple, the choice of night matters more than anything else on this page.

Why the door looks kindly on couples

Savaya's terms, like those of Zumana and Desa Kitsuné, state that mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. In practice that means a couple arriving together is the kind of guest the door expects. It is a preference, not a promise: registration on a guestlist does not guarantee complimentary entry, and management decides at the door. Dress, ID and arriving once remain the rules for everyone.

Choosing the night for two

Not every Savaya night has the same feel, and a couple can pick the one that suits them.

  • Last Light, every Monday. Billed as a "Sunset Set From the Cube", it is the night most built around the view. If the evening is about the sunset together, start here: Savaya Last Light.
  • People of the Sun, every Sunday. In the venue's words, it carries guests "from golden hour into the night". A gentler way into the week's end: Savaya on Sunday.
  • Weekday nights. Savaya's own Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, usually less of an occasion than the weekend.
  • Weekends. International headliners and the fullest dance floor. Great if you both came for the music, less so for a quiet conversation: the Savaya weekend.

Whether to arrive for the sunset or for the night is the other choice, and sunset or night at Savaya sets it out.

A table for two, or the standing floor

On a guestlist or a ticket, you are in general admission: Savaya's FAQ says general admission seating is limited and first come, first served, and tickets are "primarily for standing room only". That suits a couple who want to dance.

If you want somewhere to sit, a table is the only reserved space. The venue's table maps name areas such as the Lounge, Daybeds, The Cube Sofas, Ocean Edge View, Cabanas and Bungalows, and which are offered changes from night to night. The minimum spend is set by Savaya for each night and, on the venue's maps, includes food and beverage credit. Ask the concierge what that night's map offers for two. A table is yours once Savaya confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms; it is not a confirmation.

A table also changes one practical rule: re-entry at Savaya is only possible with a table. On the list or a ticket, you come in once.

Dressing as a pair

Smart casual for both. Work jeans or denim, beer-branded singlets, cut-off clothing and athletic sportswear are refused, and swimwear is for the pools only. One of you being turned away spoils the night for two, so check both outfits against the Savaya dress code before you leave.

Before and after

Savaya is cashless and bags are searched, so travel light: one small bag between you is easier than two. For a drink before a later arrival, El Kabron sits on the cliffs of Pecatu and Rock Bar on the rocks at Jimbaran. For dinner first, a table ahead of the club makes the evening; ideas are in a romantic dinner in Bali.

Named the number-one club in Asia three years running (2024–2026) and fifth in the world in 2026 in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs, it is open daily: Last Light every Monday, weekday nights, and international headliners at weekends. El Kabron

Beach clubs · Uluwatu

El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu in Uluwatu, above the Indian Ocean, and has been open since 2011. It has three parts: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners; and a Mediterranean restaurant serving seafood, oysters, paella and steak. Its sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet, with the White Sunset Party, the Afro House Sunset Party and pool parties among the weekly regulars.

Rock Bar

Rock Bar

Bars · Jimbaran

Rock Bar is AYANA Bali's cliffside bar in Jimbaran, stretching some 270 metres along the rocks above the ocean, with 880 seats spread over 22 areas. Guests reach it by inclinator, watch the sun set over the sea, then stay as the DJs play on. The bar pours cocktails inspired by the colours of the sea alongside Mediterranean tapas built on Jimbaran Bay seafood. Non-resident visitors can reserve; the Round Deck is kept for villa guests and the Top Bar for hotel guests. Payment by card or QR only.

The way home matters more on the Bukit than elsewhere. A car with a driver who waits or comes back means neither of you has to think about it at the end of the night: see getting to Savaya.

A special occasion

An anniversary, a honeymoon or a proposal at Savaya is possible to plan, but nothing is promised in advance. Tell the concierge the date and what you have in mind; FirstBali checks with the venue what can be arranged and comes back with what Savaya confirms. The wider ideas for two are in Bali nightlife for couples and a Bali anniversary.

Where FirstBali fits

FirstBali sends you the link to that night's guestlist page so you can each register, books a table with Savaya on your behalf, and arranges a car with a driver. An assistant answers at any hour, and the team works through the Bali day and evening.
