A date night in Uluwatu is a cliff evening: dinner facing the Indian Ocean as the sun goes down, then, if you want music, Savaya on the same Pecatu clifftop. Both stops are on the Bukit, so the night never needs a long drive across the island. The concierge can arrange the dinner, the table and the car in one conversation.
Why stay on the Bukit for the whole night
The Bukit peninsula is the southern tip of Bali, and its best evenings happen on the limestone cliffs above the ocean. If you are staying in Uluwatu, keeping dinner and the second stop on the same clifftop means the evening is spent together rather than in traffic. If you are staying elsewhere, a driver who waits through both stops turns the journey into a single trip there and a single trip back.
First stop: the Sunset Theater at El Kabron
El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu, above the Indian Ocean. Its Sunset Theater, at the cliff edge, is set up for sunset dinners, which makes it the natural start to a date. The Mediterranean restaurant serves seafood, oysters, paella and steak. If you arrive earlier, the Hedonism Lounge is an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas. El Kabron's sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet.
Second stop: Savaya, on the same clifftop
Savaya is a clifftop club in Pecatu, between jungle and limestone cliffs, with pools and The Cube, the landmark that frames its horizon. DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named it the number-one club in Asia from 2024 to 2026 and fifth in the world in 2026, according to DJ Mag and Savaya. It is open daily: Last Light every Monday, a sunset set from The Cube, weekday nights, and international headliners at weekends.
For a couple, two details matter. The venue says mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred at the door, and registration on its guestlist does not guarantee complimentary entry; management decides. A Monday date: Last Light
If your dates are flexible, a Monday changes the shape of the evening. Last Light is Savaya's sunset set from The Cube, so the sunset itself happens at the club rather than at dinner. A quieter evening: White Rock on Melasti Beach
Not every date needs a club. White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu, at the end of the cliff. It has daybeds, sofas and cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool, a spa, and a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes. Its enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlook the pool and the ocean. Note that White Rock welcomes families, with a kids' pool and menu, and runs foam parties at weekends, so it suits a relaxed afternoon into evening more than a candlelit dinner.
Guestlist or table for two
At Savaya, the guestlist is the venue's own: each of you registers individually on the night's page, linked from the Guestlist button on the events calendar, and receives a digital ticket by email. Joining is free; entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on that page, reduced after. Some nights are ticketed only, and tickets are primarily for standing room. A table is the only reserved space, and the only way to re-enter. Its minimum spend is set by Savaya for each night and includes food and beverage credit. The table is yours once the venue confirms it; any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation.
The car
Neither of you should be driving on the Bukit at night. The concierge can book a driver who waits through dinner and the club; see a driver for your night out.
