Bali beach club on a rainy day: what still works
A rainy day at a Bali beach club: which clubs describe covered or indoor spaces, what happens to an outdoor booking, and the garden party that runs rain or shine. What the venues say, nothing more.
Updated November 8, 2026 · 4 min read

On a rainy day in Bali, a beach club still works if it has somewhere to go indoors. In FirstBali's catalogue, White Rock Beach Club describes a large covered restaurant and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites, Le Bleu in Nusa Dua has an indoor dining room, and El Kabron moves its Sunset Theater reservations indoors to the restaurant in bad weather. For the evening, Desa Kitsuné's garden party runs rain or shine; Savaya's and Zumana's terms allow an event to be cancelled for inclement weather.
What the clubs actually publish
Most beach clubs are built for the open air, and most do not publish which of their spaces are sheltered. This guide only repeats what a venue states. Where it says nothing, we say nothing, and the concierge asks the venue on the day.
Beach clubs with a covered or indoor fallback
White Rock Beach Club, Uluwatu side
On Melasti Beach in Ungasan, White Rock describes a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean, and a spa. That makes it the clearest rainy-day option in the catalogue: a group can keep its own space with a view while the pools wait for the sky to clear. Families also have a kids' pool and a kids' menu.
Le Bleu, Nusa Dua
Le Bleu by K Club, on Nusa Dua Beach in the ITDC resort area, has sunbeds, cabanas and terraces, and an indoor dining room. Its kitchen leans on seafood, with vegetarian and vegan options, and the weekly programme includes cocktail workshops among its activities. See Nusa Dua beach clubs.
El Kabron, Pecatu
El Kabron's Sunset Theater stands at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners. According to the venue's FAQ, in bad weather those reservations move indoors to the restaurant. The Mediterranean restaurant serves seafood, oysters, paella and steak.
White Rock Beach Club
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu, at the end of the cliff. Guests settle on daybeds, sofas or cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool; families have a kids' pool and a kids' menu. There is a spa, a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean. Resident DJs play every day, and foam parties run at weekends. The club also hosts weddings and events.
Le Bleu
Beach clubs · Nusa Dua
Le Bleu by K Club is a beachfront restaurant and beach club on Nusa Dua Beach, in the ITDC resort area, run by the K-Club Group. The look is French Riviera by way of Bali, all blue and white, with sunbeds, cabanas, terraces and an indoor dining room. The kitchen leans on seafood, from lobster linguine to yellowfin tuna tataki, with vegetarian and vegan options. The weekly programme mixes yoga, cocktail workshops, beach games and festive Sunday gatherings with a DJ.
El Kabron
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu in Uluwatu, above the Indian Ocean, and has been open since 2011. It has three parts: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners; and a Mediterranean restaurant serving seafood, oysters, paella and steak. Its sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet, with the White Sunset Party, the Afro House Sunset Party and pool parties among the weekly regulars.
The big open-air clubs
Atlas and FINNS in Berawa, Zumana at Sunset Bay, Luna on the Tabanan cliffs and Savaya on the Pecatu clifftop are built around pools, sand and open-air dance floors. Some list spaces with names that suggest a roof — Atlas's The Deck restaurant, Luna's Utopia Cave Club — but none of them publishes which areas stay dry, so we do not claim it. Before you go, ask: the concierge checks with the venue on the day.
What happens to an outdoor booking
- A daybed or cabana follows the venue's own terms; whether it can be moved, changed or kept on a wet day is the venue's decision. Ask before you set off rather than on arrival.
- A sunset dinner may move indoors where the venue says so, as at El Kabron.
- An evening at Savaya or Zumana: their guestlist terms say events can be cancelled for inclement weather, and registrations are not transferable to another night. Check the night's page on the day.

When the rain sets in: the garden party
If the day is lost, the night does not have to be. Every Tuesday and Friday, the Desa Kitsuné garden in Canggu becomes the party, rain or shine, in the venue's words: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. It is 21+ with a valid photo ID, smart casual. Each guest registers on the night's guestlist page when a list is open, buys an official ticket on ticketed-only nights, or books a garden table; the cutoff, earlier for men, is on the night's page. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. Its guestlist terms, like Savaya's, still allow cancellation for inclement weather. Its pool is decorative, so it is not a swim. See Desa Kitsuné rain or shine.

Four things for a wet beach club day
- Ask before leaving whether your daybed or table stands, and where you would sit if it rains.
- Choose a club with a published indoor space if the forecast is poor: White Rock, Le Bleu, El Kabron's restaurant.
- Keep one driver so a change of plan is quick. See a private driver in Bali.
- Bring a dry change for the evening, and shoes that pass a smart casual door. See what to bring to a beach club.
How FirstBali helps
Tell the concierge the day, the group and what you had planned. We ask the venue what it can offer if the weather turns, and check what can be arranged instead — an indoor table, a different club, a driver. Each booking is yours only once the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.
