Zumana in the rain: what the beach club's terms say
Zumana publishes one weather rule: an event can be cancelled for inclement weather, and guestlist registrations do not transfer. What that means for a wet day at Sunset Bay.

Zumana has no published rain policy. The only weather rule in its terms is that an event can be cancelled for inclement weather, and that guestlist registrations are not transferable to another night. Its FAQ says nothing about rain, covered areas or refunds, so this page does not either: on a wet day, check the night's page and ask before you leave.

What Zumana's terms actually say
Zumana is the Savaya Group's beach club at Sunset Bay in Kuta, built around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor. Its guestlist terms carry one weather line: events can be cancelled for inclement weather, and registrations are not transferable. The venue does not define inclement weather, does not promise that a day goes ahead in the rain, and does not say which spaces are sheltered.
Of the three Savaya Group venues, only Desa Kitsuné advertises its parties as "rain or shine": see Desa Kitsuné, rain or shine. Zumana makes no such promise.
On a day that looks wet
- Check the night's page on our events page before you set off; a change or cancellation shows there.
- Ask [the concierge](/concierge) to check with the venue. We never tell you a day is on until Zumana says so.
- Keep a back-up date. A guestlist registration does not move to another night: you register again on that night's page.
Tickets and the weather
Some nights at Zumana are ticketed only, and official tickets are sold exclusively through the venue's own channel, linked from the flyer. The ticket terms for Ritual of the Sun, its Saturday, say tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Zumana publishes nothing more about weather and tickets; if a ticketed night is affected, the venue's own channel is where the answer comes from. More in Ritual of the Sun and Zumana's headliner nights.
The guestlist on a wet day
The list works the same in any weather. You register individually on the night's page and receive a digital ticket by email. Joining is free; entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on that page and reduced after it. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. Step by step in the Zumana guestlist.
Dressing for rain, inside the dress code
The dress code stays smart casual. Beer-branded singlets, cut-off clothing and athletic sportswear are not permitted, and flip-flops are refused, so rain sandals and a running jacket are both risks. Closed shoes and a light, smart layer are the safer choice. Swimwear is for the pools: arrive dressed. The detail is in the Zumana dress code.
What to carry
Bags are searched at the door, and props, inflatables, professional cameras, tripods and drones stay outside. Zumana takes card or QRIS only, no cash. Bring the original of a valid passport or driver's licence: entry is 21+. The full list is in what to bring to Zumana.
A table on a rainy day
A table is the only reserved space at Zumana: a daybed, a sofa or a cabana for one night, with a minimum spend the venue sets per date, and the only way to leave and come back in. The venue's table maps name areas such as Ocean Edge, the Dance Floor, the Main Deck, the Cabanas and the Grotto VIP; they do not say which are covered, and we will not guess. If shelter matters, tell the concierge: we pass the request on, and Zumana decides the placement. The table is yours once the venue confirms it; any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation. See booking a table at Zumana.
Dinner at Manuza
Zumana's restaurant is Manuza, on the same site. On an uncertain day, keeping dinner and the party at one address saves a second trip in the rain; see dinner before Zumana.
Getting there in the rain
A scooter is a poor choice in the rain. A private driver drops you at Sunset Bay and comes back when you are ready; FirstBali arranges drivers, and the drop-off is covered in getting to Zumana.
How FirstBali helps
Tell the concierge the day and the group. We send the guestlist page when the night has one, point you to the official tickets when it is ticketed only, ask Zumana for a table, check with the venue when the weather turns and organise the ride. An assistant answers at any hour, and the team works through the Bali day and evening.
