Berawa date night: four evenings for two, by pace
A Berawa date night can be an omakase counter, a candlelit wine bar, a steak grilled at your table or a password speakeasy, with Desa Kitsuné's garden on Tuesdays and Fridays.

For a date night in Berawa, choose the pace first. The quietest evening is a candlelit table at Riviera; the most intimate is the omakase counter at Miss Fish; the most theatrical is a steak cooked at your table at Aged & Butchered. Then end the night at The Shady Pig, or, on a Tuesday or a Friday, in the garden at Desa Kitsuné. The concierge books each step.
Why Berawa works for two
Berawa, the part of Canggu around Jalan Pantai Berawa and Jalan Raya Semat, packs restaurants, a speakeasy and beach clubs into a few streets. Several of its dining rooms change mood as the evening goes on, so a date can stay at one table all night or move once, without a long drive. The four evenings below are built on that.
Evening one: the counter at Miss Fish
Miss Fish is a Japanese restaurant and late-night venue on Jalan Raya Semat. Executive Chef Carlos Barvo leads a seasonal omakase that pairs Japanese technique with European and Latin American influences. For two, the Omakase Bar, a chef-guided onyx counter, puts you side by side with the kitchen in front of you; the open-air Patio and the Lounge suit a slower evening of cocktails and shared plates. The bar holds more than forty sakes and Japanese whiskies, and later in the evening DJs take over. The dress code is smart casual. See the Miss Fish guide.
Evening two: candlelight at Riviera
Riviera Bistro is a Mediterranean restaurant and wine bar on Jalan Pemelisan Agung, the original venue of Riviera Group. The kitchen works with fresh pasta and local ingredients, with dishes such as tagliatelle in a Wagyu beef and pork ragù or cacio e pepe risotto with tuna battuta. Expect an extensive wine list, aperitifs at the bar and candlelit tables. On Saturdays the evening turns into PRÏVE, with cocktails and DJs, so pick another night for a quiet dinner and Saturday if you want it to become a party. The Riviera guide has more.
Evening three: the grill at Aged & Butchered
Aged & Butchered is the island branch of a Jakarta dry-aged steakhouse, inside The Komu hotel in Berawa. Its meat library of dry-aged cuts is grilled over coffee-wood charcoal, and Japanese yakiniku-style grills at the table let the chefs cook in front of you. The room is moody and stylish, with a sake fountain, an extensive wine collection and an outdoor bar area. It suits a couple who want the dinner itself to be the event. See the Aged & Butchered guide.
If you would rather share many small plates, MiA, on Jalan Raya Semat, serves modern Asian dishes built for sharing, such as Wagyu gyoza and Chilean sea bass tempura, under the open Bali sky.
Aged & Butchered
Restaurants · Berawa
Aged & Butchered Bali is the island branch of the Jakarta dry-aged steakhouse of the same name, run by MDA Restaurants inside The Komu hotel in Berawa. The draw is its meat library of dry-aged cuts, grilled over coffee-wood charcoal, with Japanese yakiniku-style grills at the table where the chefs cook in front of guests. The moody, stylish room adds a sake fountain, an extensive wine collection and an outdoor bar area. An address built around the grill, for an evening of serious steak.
MiA
Restaurants · Berawa
MîA is a modern Asian restaurant and bar on Jalan Raya Semat in Tibubeneng, in the Berawa part of Canggu. The menu is built for sharing, pairing Asian heritage with contemporary technique: Wagyu gyoza with karashi, soft-shell crab with amazu ponzu, Chilean sea bass tempura and Thai green curry. Carefully crafted drinks are made to match the food, and the setting blends modern style with traditional touches under the open Bali sky. A table here is made for gathering friends.
After dinner: The Shady Pig
The Shady Pig is a speakeasy on Jalan Pantai Berawa, themed on the Birmingham bootleggers of the twenties. The bar hides behind an unmarked door and you need the password to get in, which makes it a good second stop for a date. Cocktails lean experimental, using distillation, barrel ageing and fermentation, from the Shelby to a barrel-aged Negroni, with small plates and pinchos, and DJs take over later in the night. The Shady Pig guide explains the door.
Tuesday or Friday: the garden at Desa Kitsuné
On Tuesdays and Fridays, a Berawa dinner can end at Desa Kitsuné, the Savaya Group's lifestyle village in Canggu, created with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné. Its garden becomes the party on those two nights, rain or shine: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. Parties are 21+ and smart casual.
The guestlist is the venue's own: each of you registers individually on the night's page, linked from the flyer on /events, and receives a digital ticket by email. Joining is free; entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on the night's page, reduced after, and the cutoff is earlier for men, so a long dinner should be planned backwards from it. Registration does not guarantee entry; the venue says mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. Desa Kitsuné for couples covers the night in detail.

Tables and terms
Restaurants confirm where they can seat you; ask for the counter, a patio or a quiet corner when you book. At Desa Kitsuné, a table is the only reserved space, its minimum spend is set by the venue for the night, and it is yours once the venue confirms it. Any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation. Bring a valid photo ID each for anywhere that is 21+.
How FirstBali arranges it
Tell the concierge your date and which evening appeals. We ask the restaurant, and the bar or Desa Kitsuné if you want a second stop, for availability and terms, and can book a driver who waits; each booking is yours once the venue confirms it. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.
