Desa Kitsuné age limit and ID: what the door asks
Desa Kitsuné's garden parties are 21+ with a valid photo ID, passport or driver's licence. Ina Ré, in the same village, has its own rule: 18+ on party days, children from 8 otherwise.

Desa Kitsuné's garden parties, every Tuesday and Friday, are 21+, and the venue asks every guest for a current, valid photo ID such as a passport or a driver's licence. The village holds a second rule that catches families and mixed-age groups out: Ina Ré, the restaurant on the same grounds, admits only guests aged 18 and over on party days, according to its own FAQ, and children from the age of 8 on the other days.

Two age rules in one village
Desa Kitsuné is not a single club. It is a lifestyle village in Canggu, run by the Savaya Group with Maison Kitsuné, where Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique share a garden with the party. That is why the question "how old do you have to be?" has more than one answer:
- The garden party: 21 and over, on every party night, with photo ID.
- Ina Ré on Tuesday and Friday event days: 18 and over, according to the restaurant's FAQ.
- Ina Ré on other days: children from the age of 8 can dine, according to the same FAQ.
The café and the boutique are the daytime side of the village; what is open, and when, is on the Desa Kitsuné page.
What counts as ID at the door
The venue's FAQ asks a current, valid photo ID of every guest. The two examples it gives are a passport and a driver's licence. In practice, that means:
- Bring the original. No venue source says that a photocopy or a photo on a phone is accepted, so do not count on it.
- Make sure it is in date. "Current" and "valid" are the venue's words.
- One per person. A friend's passport does not cover you, and a group is checked guest by guest.
Why a passport is often the simplest choice for visitors, and what official travel advice says about carrying one, is covered in the Bali club ID guide.
The guestlist does not check your age for you
Registering on the night's guestlist is free, and you register yourself on the venue's own page, receiving a digital ticket by email. That ticket is not proof of age. The door still checks ID, and the venue's terms add that "registration on the guest list does not guarantee complimentary entry": management decides. The same applies to a ticket bought on a ticketed-only night and to a table: a confirmed table does not exempt anyone in the group from the 21+ rule.
Register under the name on your ID, so that the ticket, the person and the document match. How the list itself works is in the Desa Kitsuné guestlist guide.
A group with someone under 21
If one person in your group is under 21, the garden party is closed to them, whatever the night. Three ways to keep the evening together:
- Dinner at Ina Ré on a non-party day, when the restaurant's own rule applies rather than the party's.
- Dinner at Ina Ré on a Tuesday or Friday, for the over-18s, with the under-21s heading home before the party.
- A different plan for the whole group: Bali without clubs gathers evenings that do not depend on a door policy.
Celebrating someone's 21st? It works in the garden only if everyone in the group is already 21: see a 21st birthday in Bali.
Families and children
The garden party is an adult event. For a family, the village is a daytime and early-evening address: Café Kitsuné for a coffee and pastries, the boutique, and lunch or dinner at Ina Ré on a day without a party, when children from 8 are welcome according to the restaurant's FAQ. Sunday brunch has its own menu, set out in the Ina Ré Sunday brunch guide.
The rest of the door
ID is only the first check. The garden asks for smart casual, and refuses hard-sole shoes, boots and flip-flops, chains, baggy clothing and sportswear. Mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred, and men have an earlier guestlist cutoff than women, shown on the night's page. The full list is in the Desa Kitsuné dress code guide.
How FirstBali helps
Tell the concierge the ages in your group and the night you have in mind. FirstBali sends the link to the right night's guestlist page, says whether the date is ticketed only, books a table or an Ina Ré dinner with the venue, and checks what can be arranged for a group with under-21s. Nothing is confirmed until the venue confirms it. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.

Questions we get asked
+Is Desa Kitsuné 21+?
Yes, the garden parties on Tuesdays and Fridays are 21+ for every guest, whatever the night and however you enter.
+What ID does Desa Kitsuné accept?
A current, valid photo ID such as a passport or a driver's licence, according to the venue's FAQ. Bring the original: no venue source says a copy is accepted.
+Can an 18-year-old go to Desa Kitsuné?
Not to the garden party, which is 21+. According to Ina Ré's FAQ, an 18-year-old can dine at the restaurant, including on Tuesday and Friday event days.
+Can children go to Desa Kitsuné?
Not to the party. Ina Ré's FAQ welcomes children from the age of 8 on days without an event; on Tuesday and Friday event days the restaurant is 18+.
+Does a guestlist ticket replace ID at Desa Kitsuné?
No. The digital ticket shows you registered; the door still checks a valid photo ID, and registration does not guarantee complimentary entry.
+Does a table booking change the age rule?
No. Everyone at a garden table must be 21 or over with photo ID, even once the venue has confirmed the table.
