Savaya age limit and ID: a check for every guest

Savaya is 21+ with a valid photo ID, a passport or a driver's licence, for every guest. How organisers check the whole group before registering, buying tickets or asking for a table.

Savaya Bali is 21+, and every guest needs a valid photo ID at the door: a passport or a driver's licence. That applies whether you come on the guestlist, with a ticket or at a table. If you are organising for a group, check every person's age and ID before anyone registers or a table is requested, because the door checks people, not bookings.

The rule in one line

Savaya admits guests aged 21 and over who carry a valid photo ID. The island-wide picture, including the other partner clubs, is in our Bali clubs age limit guide; the question of originals and copies is in our ID and passport guide. This page is about Savaya, and about the person who plans the night for others.

Why the organiser should check first

At Savaya each route in is individual:

  • The guestlist is Savaya's own. Each guest registers separately on the night's page and receives their own digital ticket by email.
  • A ticket, bought only through the venue's own channel, is entry for one person; Savaya says tickets are primarily for standing room only.
  • A table is the only reserved space, booked by FirstBali with the venue under one name. It does not replace anyone's ID.

So a table for ten is ten ID checks. If one guest is 20, or has left their passport at the villa, the booking does not carry them through. Finding out before the night saves an awkward moment at the clifftop entrance.

The same goes for guests joining late. A friend who arrives on the island the day of the party still needs their own registration, their own ticket if the night is ticketed, and their own document in their pocket.

A checklist for the group

  1. Ages first. Ask everyone for their date of birth before you plan. Twenty-one on the night is what counts, not twenty-one by the end of the trip.
  2. Which document. A passport or a driver's licence, valid and not expired. Decide with each guest which one they will carry, and our ID guide covers what official advice says about carrying the original.
  3. Names that match. Each guest registers on the list under the name printed on the ID they will show.
  4. One document per person, carried by that person. Do not collect passports in one bag: bags are searched and lockers are limited.
  5. Send the final count to the concierge once everyone is checked, with the mix of men and women: Savaya says mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred.

When someone in the group is under 21

There is no exception for a birthday, a table or a guestlist. If one person cannot go in, plan the evening around them rather than at the door: the concierge can suggest a dinner the whole group can share, then the 21+ guests go on. Our Savaya birthday guide covers celebrating there when everyone is old enough, and our dinner before Savaya guide the first half of the evening.

The coming nights

Every night has its own page and terms, and the same ID rule:

What else the door checks

Age and ID are the first check, not the only one. Savaya is cashless, bags are searched, lockers are limited, luggage is not allowed, and outside food and drink stay outside. Re-entry is only with a table. Registration on the guestlist does not guarantee complimentary entry: management decides. Our Savaya what to bring guide has the full list.

How FirstBali helps

FirstBali books tables with the venue on your behalf and tells you what Savaya answers; a table is yours once the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms. It cannot change the door policy for anyone. An assistant answers at any hour and the team works through the Bali day and evening, so send your group's details early.

Questions we get asked

+What is the age limit at Savaya?

21. Every guest needs a valid photo ID, a passport or a driver's licence, at the door.

+Does a table at Savaya cover a guest without ID?

No. A table is a reserved space, not an exemption: each guest is checked individually.

+Can someone turning 21 later in the trip come to Savaya?

Only on a night when they are already 21. The age on the night is what counts.

+Can I register my friends on the Savaya guestlist?

Each guest registers individually on the night's page, under the name on the ID they will show.

+Can FirstBali arrange an exception to the age rule?

No. The door policy is Savaya's, and FirstBali cannot change it for anyone.

+Is a driver's licence enough at Savaya?

Savaya asks for a valid photo ID, and a passport or a driver's licence both qualify.
