Dinner before Zumana: where to eat near Kuta

Where to eat before Zumana in Kuta: Manuza, its own restaurant, Sardine in Seminyak for seafood over the rice paddies, or Rock Bar in Jimbaran. Book dinner and the club separately.

Updated October 21, 2026 · 4 min read

For dinner before Zumana, the first option is on site: Zumana's own restaurant is Manuza, and the concierge checks whether it is taking bookings for your date. Beyond it, two catalogue venues frame Kuta: Sardine in Seminyak, a seafood restaurant over the rice paddies, and Rock Bar at AYANA in Jimbaran for sunset cocktails and seafood tapas. Book dinner and Zumana as two things — a restaurant reservation does not get you into the club. FirstBali books both.

Zumana in brief

Zumana is a Savaya Group beach club at Sunset Bay in Kuta, designed by Rockwell Group around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor, with ZENÍA, a sculpture by Daniel Popper, at its centre. It is 21+ and smart casual, takes card and QRIS only, and re-entry is for table guests only — so once inside without a table, you stay. That last point is why dinner is worth planning: the evening's order matters. The first visit is described in Zumana for the first time.

Manuza, Zumana's own restaurant

Manuza is the restaurant of Zumana, a Savaya Group property in Kuta. When we read its page, it did not yet describe its cuisine, so we do not either. Ask the concierge whether Manuza is taking reservations for your date: dining at the same address means one drop-off and no move between dinner and the party.

Sardine: seafood in Seminyak

Sardine by K-Club is a seafood restaurant on Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak, set in an open-air bamboo building looking over a stretch of rice paddies, with a terrace for dinner. The kitchen cooks the daily catch — yellowfin tuna, scallops, snapper — in a modern Mediterranean style, with vegetables from its own farms and a vegetarian set menu. It suits a group staying in Seminyak or Legian who want a proper sit-down dinner before heading south to Kuta. The restaurant has its own guide: Sardine, Seminyak.

Rock Bar: a sunset drink in Jimbaran

Rock Bar is AYANA Bali's cliffside bar in Jimbaran, along the rocks above the ocean, reached by inclinator. Guests watch the sun set, then stay as the DJs play on; the menu is cocktails inspired by the colours of the sea and Mediterranean tapas built on Jimbaran Bay seafood. Non-resident visitors can reserve, though some decks are kept for hotel and villa guests, and payment is by card or QR only. It suits a group staying on the Bukit side who would rather eat light. See the Rock Bar guide.

Choosing the order

  • Dinner on site. Manuza, if it takes your booking, then the club: the simplest evening.
  • Dinner in Seminyak, then Kuta. A full dinner at Sardine, then Zumana. Good for a group based in Seminyak.
  • Sunset at Zumana itself. Saturday's Ritual of the Sun and the Sunday sessions make the sunset part of the club; then the question is what to eat before arriving rather than after — see Ritual of the Sun and Zumana Sunday.

What dinner does not cover

A restaurant booking, even at Manuza, is not a place at the party. Depending on the night, you need your own guestlist registration on the night's page, an official ticket from Zumana's own channel, or a table. Registration is free but does not guarantee complimentary entry, and free entry only applies before the cutoff shown on the night's page; plan dinner around it. A table is the only reserved space, with a minimum spend set by the venue per night that includes food and beverage credit, and it is yours once Zumana confirms it — see Zumana table booking. Everyone needs to be 21 or over, with a passport or driver's licence.

Getting between them

Keep one car with a driver for dinner, Zumana and the way home. FirstBali adds it in the same conversation; arrival at Sunset Bay is explained in getting to Zumana.

How to book

Send the concierge the date, how many you are, where you would like to eat, and how you want to enter Zumana: list, ticket or table. FirstBali books with each venue on your behalf; each booking is yours once that venue confirms it. Our assistant replies at any hour; the team picks up through the Bali day and evening.

Questions we get asked

+Does Zumana have a restaurant?

Zumana's own restaurant, Manuza, is announced on its site as coming soon. The concierge checks whether it is taking bookings for your date.

+Where can I eat before Zumana?

At Manuza on site, at Sardine in Seminyak for seafood over the rice paddies, or at Rock Bar in Jimbaran for sunset cocktails and seafood tapas.

+Does dinner at Manuza include entry to Zumana?

Do not count on it: a restaurant booking is not a place at the party. Register on the night's list, buy an official ticket or book a table.

+Can I leave Zumana for dinner and come back?

Only with a table: re-entry at Zumana is for table guests. Without one, eat before you arrive.

+How do I pay at Zumana?

By card or QRIS only. Rock Bar, if you start there, also takes card or QR only.
