What to bring to Zumana Bali: ID, card, no cash

For Zumana bring the original of a passport or driver's licence, a card or QRIS (no cash), your entry and smart casual clothes. Leave food, props, drones and pro cameras at home.

To Zumana, bring four things: the original of a valid passport or driver's licence, because the door is strictly 21+; a card or a phone that pays by QRIS, because Zumana takes no cash; your entry for the night; and smart casual clothes. Leave behind outside food and drink, props, inflatables, professional cameras, tripods, drones and anything sharp — every bag is searched.

The short list

  • Photo ID, the original. A current, valid passport or driver's licence.
  • A card or QRIS. In Zumana's own words: "We only accept card & QRIS payments. No cash."
  • Your entry. The digital ticket emailed after your guestlist registration, or a ticket from Zumana's own channel on a ticketed night.
  • Smart casual clothes, with swimwear in your bag if you plan to swim.
  • A charged phone, with your driver's details saved for the way home.

The rest of this page explains each line, and what the bag check will stop.

ID: the door is 21+

Zumana's FAQ is direct: "We strictly enforce a 21+ policy and valid ID will be required upon entry." It accepts "a current, valid photo ID such as a valid Passport or valid Driver's license". Bring the original document, not a photo of it on your phone, and make sure it has not expired.

If you are travelling with your passport in the hotel safe, decide before you leave which document you will carry: a driver's licence with a photo is accepted, and it is easier to keep on you for an evening by the sea. The age rule is the same at Savaya and Desa Kitsuné — see the age limit in Bali's clubs.

Payment: card or QRIS, no cash

Zumana is cashless. Its payment answer is one line: card and QRIS, no cash. QRIS is Indonesia's national QR payment standard, which many local banking and e-wallet apps support; if your phone can pay that way, it works here, and otherwise a card does.

In practice, bring a card that works abroad, and ideally a second one in case the first is declined: there is no cash fallback at the bar.

Your entry for the night

What you show at the door depends on the night. On a guestlist night, each person registers individually on the night's page and receives a digital ticket by email: keep it on your phone. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and the cutoff shown on that night's page decides whether entry is free or reduced. The Zumana guestlist explains how it works.

On a ticketed night, Zumana is clear that "valid tickets are exclusively sold through" its own channel, and "entry will not be granted for tickets bought from an unauthorized source". With a table booked through FirstBali, the booking is in the name you gave, and the table is yours once Zumana has confirmed it.

What to wear

Smart casual — "upscale beach chic", as the event pages put it. Zumana does not permit beer-branded singlets, cut-off clothing or athletic sportswear, and flip-flops are refused. Swimwear is for the pools: arrive dressed, change if you swim. The full list, with ideas for an outfit, is in the Zumana dress code.

What to leave behind

Zumana's list of prohibited items for regular days of operation:

  • outside food and beverages, and candy;
  • toys, props and inflatables;
  • professional cameras, tripods and drones;
  • all sharp objects.

"Please note that for your own safety all bags, backpacks, purses or parcels are all subject to search", and management reserves the right to refuse entry. A small bag goes through the check faster than a large one. A birthday or a hen group should leave the props at the villa: they will not get past the door.

Getting there and the way home

Zumana is on the beachfront at Sunset Bay Kuta, on Jl. Kartika Plaza. The venue's FAQ says "the closest parking for both cars and motorbikes is at Discovery Mall"; arriving by app, the drop-off is across the street from Waterbom Bali, and you walk in past the shops to the beachfront. Directions step by step are in how to get to Zumana.

Re-entry is not permitted unless you have a table, so bring everything you need for the whole visit. Book the way home before you leave: a private driver who is there when you walk out.

If you lose something

Zumana runs a lost and found. Its FAQ asks you to give the estimated time you lost the item, the area and a description. Ask the concierge and FirstBali passes the details on to the venue for you.
