Zumana private events: hiring the Kuta beach club
Zumana publishes no private-hire offer: a private celebration there is built on reserved daybeds, sofas or cabanas for a chosen day. What that gives a group and what FirstBali can ask.

Zumana does not publish a private-hire offer. Its website lists VIP reservations, tickets, its restaurant Manuza, news and a contact page; the only trace of "private events" is an icon name on the news menu, with no offer behind it. A private celebration at Zumana is therefore built on reserved spaces — daybeds, sofas or cabanas — for a day you choose, each with a minimum spend the venue sets for that day. Anything more, FirstBali asks Zumana through the concierge.
What a private group actually gets
Zumana is the Savaya Group's beach club at Sunset Bay in Kuta, designed by Rockwell Group around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor, with ZENÍA, a sculpture by Daniel Popper, at its centre. It runs its own programme every day, so a group joins the day rather than replacing it.
The private part is the table. On Zumana's maps, a table is a daybed, a sofa or a cabana, reserved for one day, with a minimum spend counted as food and drink credit. It is the only reserved space, and the only way back in after stepping out: in Zumana's words, "Re-entry is not permitted at Zumana Bali unless a table reservation has been purchased."
A day, not only a night
The difference with a nightclub hire is time. At a beach club, a private occasion can run from the afternoon, through the sunset, into the night, at the same seats. That is what makes Zumana useful for a celebration: the group settles once.
- Afternoon: daybeds by the beach or the pool for the group to arrive at its own pace.
- Sunset: the moment the occasion usually turns, from a lunch into a party. See sunset at Zumana.
- Dinner at Manuza: the restaurant at the same address, if the group wants to sit at a table. See Manuza at Zumana.
- The night: the dance floor, with the table kept.
Choosing the day
- Saturday, Ritual of the Sun: Zumana's weekly sunset-to-night ritual. See Ritual of the Sun.
- Headliner nights: the fullest, with areas going first. See Zumana headliner nights.
- Zumana Sunday and the weeknight rotation, including Made in Kuta: often simpler for a larger group.

Occasions, and how they fit
- A birthday or milestone: one area for the core group; more in a birthday at Zumana.
- A wedding welcome day: guests from several hotels gather on daybeds from the afternoon.
- A group larger than one area: several tables side by side, or a wider request to Zumana. That is a question; the answer is Zumana's.
What can be asked, and what Zumana rules out
A cake, a decoration, a reserved arrival, a message: none of these is a published service, and none is promised. Tell the concierge and we ask the venue. Some things are on Zumana's own list of prohibited items: professional cameras, tripods, drones and props. Payment is by card or QRIS. And nobody under 21 attends, with photo ID required.
If you need a venue of your own
When the group needs a place to itself, look at venues that publish a private hire. Desa Kitsuné, another Savaya Group venue, offers its Canggu village or The Garden alone for private events; White Rock Beach Club in Uluwatu states that it hosts weddings and events. Compare them in a private event venue in Bali.
Desa Kitsuné
Clubs · Canggu
Desa Kitsuné is a lifestyle village in the heart of Canggu — desa means village — set in a 5,000 m² garden by the Savaya Group with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné. Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique share the grounds, and every Tuesday and Friday the Garden becomes the party, rain or shine: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. Parties are 21+, smart casual.
White Rock Beach Club
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu, at the end of the cliff. Guests settle on daybeds, sofas or cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool; families have a kids' pool and a kids' menu. There is a spa, a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean. Resident DJs play every day, and foam parties run at weekends. The club also hosts weddings and events.
The checklist for every guest
- 21+, valid photo ID: passport or driver's licence.
- Smart casual: see the Zumana dress code.
- A card or phone to pay.
- The door decides. Zumana states that mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred; a confirmed table is the dependable way in together.
How FirstBali arranges it
Tell the concierge the occasion, the day, roughly how many guests, whether you want the afternoon or only the night, and anything to be asked for. We book with Zumana on your behalf and pass on wider requests; we never share the venue's contact details. Tables are yours once Zumana confirms them; any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not in itself a confirmation. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.
