Anniversary at Savaya: planning the night for two

How to celebrate an anniversary at Savaya, the clifftop club in Uluwatu: which night to choose, which table area to ask for, dinner before, and what FirstBali checks with the venue for you.

Updated October 23, 2026 · 5 min read

To celebrate an anniversary at Savaya, choose the night for its mood — Last Light on a Monday for the sunset, a weekend for a headliner — and book a table for two rather than relying on the guestlist, so you have a place of your own above the ocean. FirstBali books the table with Savaya, plans the dinner before and the car home, and asks the venue about any personal touch; nothing is promised until Savaya confirms it.

Why Savaya for an anniversary

Savaya is a clifftop club in Pecatu, Uluwatu, set 100 metres above the Indian Ocean between jungle and limestone cliffs, with pools and The Cube, the landmark that frames its horizon. DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs has named it the number-one club in Asia three years running (2024–2026) and fifth in the world in 2026. For an anniversary, that combination is the point: a view you will remember and a night that feels like an occasion.

The venue's terms also state that mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. That is a preference, not a promise — the door still decides — but a couple is the guest Savaya expects.

Choose the night for the kind of anniversary

  • Last Light, every Monday. Savaya's sunset event, built around The Cube; in the venue's words, "the only place on the Bukit Peninsula where the magic hour isn't a backdrop". The natural choice if the evening is about the two of you and the light: Savaya Last Light.
  • People of the Sun, on Sundays. DJs through the day building to a main act, from golden hour into the night: Sunday at Savaya.
  • Savaya's weekday nights, Tuesday to Thursday, usually less of an event than the weekend.
  • Weekend headliners. The fullest nights, for a couple who share the music. Some are ticketed only, so check the night's page early: a weekend at Savaya.

If your date is fixed, the calendar above shows what that night is. If it is flexible, a Monday is the easiest to plan in advance, because it is the same idea every week.

A table for two, not the standing floor

On a guestlist or a ticket you are in general admission, where seating is limited and first come, first served; Savaya says tickets are "primarily for standing room only". For an anniversary, a table is what turns the night into a celebration: a reserved place, your own base, and the only way to step out and come back, since re-entry at Savaya is possible only with a table.

Savaya's table maps name areas such as the Lounge, Daybeds, The Cube Sofas, Ocean Edge View, Cabanas and Bungalows. Which are offered changes from night to night, and some carry larger minimum party sizes, so tell the concierge you are two and what you would like — closest to the view, near The Cube, or somewhere quieter — and FirstBali asks what that night's map offers. The minimum spend is set by Savaya for each night and, on its maps, includes food and beverage credit. The table is yours once Savaya confirms it; any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation. The steps are in Savaya table booking.

The order of the evening

  1. Dinner first, or the sunset first. On a Last Light Monday the sunset is the event, so arrive early and eat afterwards. On a later night, dinner comes before. On the same cliffs of Pecatu, El Kabron's Sunset Theater stands at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners; Rock Bar sits on the rocks at Jimbaran. More in dinner before Savaya.
  2. The table at Savaya. Settle in, and let the night build.
  3. The way home. The Bukit is a place to have a driver who waits or comes back, so that neither of you thinks about the end of the night: getting to Savaya.

Personal touches: ask, never assume

A message on the table, a cake, a bottle brought to you at a chosen moment: these are the touches couples ask about. Savaya publishes no anniversary package, so FirstBali does not promise one. Tell the concierge what you have in mind when you book; FirstBali checks with the venue what can be arranged for your date and tells you exactly what Savaya has confirmed. Anything outside food and drink, such as decoration, is entirely the venue's decision. If the plan is a proposal rather than an anniversary, see proposing in Bali.

The practical part, for two

  • Both IDs. Savaya is strictly 21+, with a valid passport or driver's licence each.
  • Both outfits. Smart casual; swimwear only in the pools. One of you turned away ends the night for both: check the Savaya dress code.
  • Travel light. Savaya is cashless, bags are searched, lockers are limited and luggage is not accepted; no outside food or drink.
  • The door decides. Management has the final word, booking or not.

Where FirstBali fits

Tell the concierge the date, how you would like the evening to go and where you are staying. FirstBali books the table and the dinner with the venues on your behalf, asks about the personal touches, and adds a car with a driver. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.

Savaya's sister venues suit an anniversary too: Zumana on the beach at Sunset Bay in Kuta, and Desa Kitsuné's garden in Canggu, with dinner at Ina Ré on the same grounds.
